Description
Jar Wars is a slap-stick multiplayer VR game. Battling with friends and foes using impractical weapons like giant rockets, a hologram sword, and boxing gloves. Will you be the last brain standing?
History
The PrototypeJar Wars began in 2017 as a prototype GunSword that was never meant to be. After being contracted by FarCade, indie team Taco Illuminati made several multiplayer VR prototypes to be demoed for Patrick Curry and Melissa Swannepole of FarCade. After trying 2 prototypes Patrick asked what project GunSword was. Which was literally a multiplayer VR prototype where you have a gun and a sword. Patrick and Melissa had such a blast in the prototype that it was decided to move forward with it.
VRcade? After six months of tears and blood, but mostly sweaty VR helmets, Jar Wars was born. Originally designed for shorter LAN sessions, Jar Wars is a brain battling multiplayer VR game. The game has been shown multiple times at Fantastic Arcade and expos like SXSW and RTX. Reception to the game was astounding as players would come back to play more and more.
The Future of Jar WarsJar Wars is looking to come out on SteamVR soon. With a focus on creating a fun, silly, and immersive multiplayer experience FarCade wants just about anyone with a headset to be able to play the game with each other.
